Update 2009.06

As of late 2008, my wife became the proud owner of the ToughBook.  It's been working brilliantly for her and has easily replaced both her IBM ThinkPad T40 and Asus EeePC 701.  She loves the size, weight, battery life and performance.  She's even been using the VT extensions of the Core Duo CPU, as a piece of software she uses for research is shipped in a Linux virtual machine.  I imagine she'll stick with this machine as long as it keeps going.

Me, I split my time evenly between the MacBook Pro (which I almost never use as a laptop and hate lugging around, though it is a fabulous machine) a Toshiba R500, and my trusty HP 2133.
